• The college organized one day Workshop in " Computer - aided Drug Discovery " on 3rd April 2006, sponsored by V-Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Pune.
• The college also hosted one day IPA Pune Branch function held on Thursday, 23rd February 2006 and felicitation of Dr. Himadri Sen, President, Pharma Research and Regulatory Affairs, Lupin Ltd., Pune

Extra Curricular Activity:
• An Industrial visit for second year B. Pharm. students was arranged to Ranbaxy Labs. at Jejury on Saturday, 16th October, 2005
• An education tour was arranged to Hyderabad in connection with Indian Pharmaceutical Congress, 2005 and was including visit to IPC, Pharmaceutical Industry as well as sight seeing. The tour was arranged for final year B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. (Semester - I & Semester - III). Students and was accompanied by staff members, Mr. S. V. Gandhi, Mr. V. S. Joshi, Mrs. S. G. Narkhede and Lab. Assistant Mr. G. Y. Chingale.
• Ms. Vrushali Sannapuri participated Drawing & Painting competition at our college get a first prize, Mr. Satyaprakash Mishra & Mr. Deepak Mundada, of final year B. Pharm. participated Quiz Competition held at Saraswati Bhavan, Thane, get a third prize & Mr. Irshad Mulani, participated Elocution Competition held at AISSMS Women's College of Engineering get a third prize Mr. Rehan Faquih, Ms. Priyanka Gaikwad of T. Y. & first year B. Pharm. participated L to W verve has get a second prize.
• Mr. Shantanu Kuchekar, Ms. Ashma Saudagar, Ms. Bhakti Ware, of first year B. Pharm. & Ms. Charuta Agashe, Ms. Trushna Patel of second year B. Pharm. & Mr. Apekshit Chobe, Ms. Snehal Sanas, Mr. Deepak Mundana of third year B. Pharm. & Ms. Shalaka Khade & Mr. Satyaprakash Mishra of final year B. Pharm. & Mr. Asfak Vora Ist Semester of M. Pharm. participated in VEDANT - 2005 organized at B. J. Medical College, Pune, between 20th September 2005 to 27th September 2005 and won the winners trophy for Essay Competition, Poster Presentation and Personality Contest.

• The blood Donation Camp was organized on 28th December 2002 by Prof. N.S.Vyawahare in association with Sasoon Hospital blood bank .Total 50 donors donated blood which includes 45 students and 05 staff members
• A one day workshop on successful Interview Techniques for Final year B.Pharm was conducted on Saturday ,1st March 2003 By senior Pharma consultant ,Mr. A.Shirgaokar
• Annual prize distribution function was held on Monday ,7th April 2003 for which Dr.S.K.Mahajan ,Joint Director, Directorate Of Technical Education ,Regional Office, Pune was invited as Chief Guest

and Franco-Indian Pharmaceutical, Mumbai by Mrs. M. R. P. Rao and Mr. S. V. Gandhi on 14th December, 2001.
• An educational tour of final year B. Pharm. was arranged to Goa between 15th - 16th March, 2001.
Prof. N. S. Vyawahare and Prof. V. S. Joshi had jointly shouldered the responsibility of tour inchargeship.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
• Our college actively participated in 18th Pharmacy Cricket Cup Tournament in which 08
Pharmaceutical Industries and 16 Pharmacy colleges participated with an aim to enhance
industry-academic interaction.
• The blood donation camp was organized on 7th December by Mr. N. S. Vyawahare in association
with Sasoon Hospital Blood Bank. About 55 bottles of blood was donated.
• Seven guest faculties from various fileds related to pharmacy, delivered lectures on the topic of
their own interest to the students.
• Annual Prize Distribution Function was held on Saturday, 20th April 2002 for which Dr. S. S. Jadhav,
Executive Director, Serum Institute of India, Pune was invited as Chief Guest.

School on Medicinal Chemistry held at Drew University, New Jersey, USA between June 11-15,2001.
• Two students have submitted their Ph. D. thesis under the co-guideship of K. G. Bothara.
• The college has organized a National Seminar on " New Avenues in Drug Design " sponsored by
AICTE from 14th - 19th May, 2001 in the college premises.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
• Our college actively participated in 17th Pharmacy Cricket Cup Tournament in which 09
Pharmaceutical Industries and 17 Pharmacy colleges participated with an aim to enhance
industry-academic interaction.
• The interclass tournaments for more than 10 different types of sports were organized amongst
boys and girls of the college.
• The student placement cell was constituted which helped to organize campus interviews for many
companies like Cipla India, Biological Evans, Borachem, Pfizer India and Serum Institute of India.
• Sixteen guest faculties from pharmaceutical industries and various fields related to pharmacy,

" A state level one day workshop on " Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences "

February 1998.
Our college actively participated in 14th Pharmacy Cricket Cup Tournament in which

Our college also celebrated National Pharmacy Week during which free health check-up and drug
distribution camp were arranged at Alandi and Dehu Road. During these camps medicine worth
of Rs. 45,000/- was distributed to poor and needy people under the supervision of Doctors. One day
technical session had also been arranged to make the students aware with ISO-9000 and Intelectual
Property Right Act.

National Pharmacy Week Celebrations:
The National Pharmacy Week was celebrated from 17th November 1996, by the pharmaceutical society of AISSMS college of Pharmacy. The aim of this celebration is the popularization of pharmacy profession and its contribution to the community. The Society was fortunate enough to get the consent of eminent scientist in the field of pharmacy.
Dr. D. P. Jindal, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chandigarh University, Chandigarh to grace the inaugral function. A press conference was held at 10.30 am on 17th November 1996, the first day of the celebration.
The inaugural function was blessed by another important personality of the development of the present structure of technical education, Dr. B. B. Chopne, Director of Technical Education Maharashtra State. A well known academician Dr. Subhash Chaturvedi, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, SGSITS, Indore and Dean, faculty of Technology, Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Indore, presided over the function.
On the second day of the week a free health check-up and drug distribution camp was organized at Malewadi, Tal : Haveli Dehu. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Sabnish, District Health Officer, Pune.
Drug worth Rs. 15 - 20 thousand were received free of cost from viz-nulife pharmaceutical, Eisen Pharmaceutical, Vindas Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd. Bombay, Bombay Ideal Product India, Indore, JohnsonsLaboratories Indore, Noble Drug, Indore, Vishal Pharmaceutical Bombay, Daymark pharmaceuticals, Bombay, Albert David Ltd. Ghazibad, Bright Drug Industries, Indore.
On the third day an information centre for pharmacy profession and education was organized in the morning session and approximetely hundred students and parents visited.
An Eassy Competition was conducted at all India level on the topic " Pharmacist in tune with the time " The first prize of Rs. 700/- for this competition was awarded to Mr. T. Senthikumar of the institute of pharmaceutical technology. Anamalai University, Annamalai Nagar and the second prize of Rs. 500/- was awarded to Mr. Dinesh D. Pardeshi of NDMVP Samajs College of Pharmacy, Nashik.
