Placement cell serves as a bridge between industry and institute and has been instituted with the following objectives:
1] To develop communication skills of students
2] To develop confidence in students to face interviews
3] To arrange campus interviews
The cell undertakes the following activities to
ensure proper training of students for facing
interviews: |

| In house Group discussions |
Group discussion is an important
screening technique adopted by the Pharmaceutical
companies during interviews as well management
institutes where the students are judged on the
basis of their ability to communicate with others,
interact in a group, awareness about current issues
and their leadership skills. The placement cell
conducts regular in-house GD's on latest Pharmaceutical
and non-pharmaceutical topics judged by the faculty.

| Mock interviews |
This comprises reasoning
tests/aptitude tests, group discussions & personal
interviews of the students conducted by a panel
of interviewers selected from senior faculty of
the institute. |

| Professional organizations are invited
to conduct workshops on the following aspects : |
| |
Successful interview
techniques: Students are groomed for
facing interviews. Information about interview
etiquettes, dress code, body language, types of
probable questions and their likely answers as
well as mannerisms is provided in the workshop.
Communication skills: These workshops
cover importance of voice pitch, proficiency in
spoken English and non-verbal communication.
Career counseling : Students
are provided information about career options
after graduation and are guided in selecting the
right avenue by means of Aptitude tests. Those
desirous of opting for higher studies in India
are counseled about various entrance tests like
GATE for M.Pharm. & GMAT for MBA and information
of various Universities offering these courses
is provided. Career guidance is also done for
higher studies abroad in which students are counseled
for international competitive examinations such
as GRE, TOEFFL and IELTS. The success of the placement
cell can be gauged by the number of companies
that have visited the campus that includes Solvay
Pharma,Zydus Cadilla, GlaxoSmithKline, Cipla,
Ranbaxy, Sun Pharma, Apex Labs, and Baxter, to
name a few. Every year about 30 students are placed
in diverse fields like Marketing, Production,
Quality Assurance and Clinical Research. |
